6x6in, oil on canvas panel. I gave my impasto medium a try today. I love the texture, but I think I may be applying the paint a little too sparsely yet for my liking.
I haven’t painted in a long time, but I did an encaustics class this weekend and got motivated! This is my first oil – an 8×10 finger painting on canvas board. I like painting small, but it’s hard with fingers! I may have to expand my canvas!
Fude fountain pen with Diamine ink, which is water soluble, so I blurred the lines with a bit of water.
More hands on toned paper with charcoal. Fast and loose!
Practicing hands in charcoal on toned paper. My favorite!
I was playing with my Fude fountain pen with some water soluble Diamine ink. I love the illustrative quality the Fude nib gives with the varied line widths, combined with a little water from a brush pen. A fantastic pen for $10!
Here’s some more work with Sennelier pastels and Polychromos colored pencil. There was a lot of dust after this one! I kind of went crazy trying to be loose and I was all over the place. I was just being very intuitive.
